The changelog records what has already happened. This is the other direction — what is settled now, what is being worked on, and what is planned for later. It is deliberately honest about the fact that F-ACT is early: the standard itself is stable, and much of the tooling and the Foundation around it is still ahead.
F-ACT 1.0 published
The five GUARD questions, the four conformance tiers and the defining principle are published and stable. This is the version you can cite and require today.
Machine-readable spec
The standard is available as data — JSON, a JSON Schema and a plain-text rendering — so tools can consume it directly, not just humans.
Public registry and self-declaration
Organisations can declare their conformance tier publicly. Verification of a declaration is open to anyone.
Reference implementation, expanded
Growing the starter governance envelope and self-test into a fuller, well-documented reference that covers each GUARD dimension end to end.
GUARD 2 / GUARD 3 conformance tooling
GUARD 1 · Declared can be self-checked from a document today. GUARD 2 · Enforced and GUARD 3 · Provable need runtime evidence — the test kit for those is the main piece of work ahead.
Framework crosswalk, deepened
Extending the mapping to the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF and ISO/IEC 42001 with finer-grained references as those regimes issue further guidance.
Foundation stood up
Standing up the Open Conformance Foundation as the neutral steward, with its charter signed and its IPR and contribution process live. Until then, stewardship sits with the current publisher.
Independent conformance assessment
A path for third parties to assess and attest higher-tier conformance, so a Provable claim can be checked by someone other than the implementer.
Versioning toward 1.1 and beyond
A transparent change process for refining the text as real-world implementation surfaces gaps — tracked openly in the changelog.
Indicative, not a commitment
This roadmap shows current intent and direction. It is not a promise of dates or deliverables, and priorities will shift as the standard is implemented and as the Foundation is established. What is published in the standard itself is what you can rely on; everything here marked Next or Later is subject to change.
